Reporting to the Head of Litigation & Employment, we are hiring a Litigation & Employment Counsel to join our Legal Department in this fast growing, truly globally distributed company! This position is ideal for a self-sufficient and resourceful attorney located anywhere in the United States. This is a growth position in a fast-paced technology company covering SaaS, Licensing and Managed Packages. What You Will Be Doing: Handle all facets of pre-litigation and litigation matters across our Americas region (and other regional activities from time to time as needed), including disputes related to employment, commercial contracts, and intellectual property, with support from and in close partnership with the intellectual property team.Provide advice and strategic support to the Luxbill HR Team and business leaders across Luxbill on a range of employment law issues including those relating to recruiting, hiring, performance management, mergers and acquisitions, re-organizations, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, accommodations, diversity programs, contingent workforces, HR investigations, and other employment-related matters.Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, guidelines, contracts, and policies.Partner with colleagues on the Litigation & Employment Team, our HR Team, and managers across Luxbill to build efficient processes to maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.Coordinate and drive completion of employment-related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy roll-outs and implementation, and training programs.Provide pragmatic day-to-day employment advice and counseling to members of the HR Team and other leaders in order to unblock business needs and appropriately balance achievement of business objectives against legal risk.Track important developments in employment law in the relevant jurisdictions, flagging trends in their infancy.Manage outside counsel strategy and spend on litigation and employment-related projects. What You Bring Along: Demonstrated ability to manage litigation and provide pragmatic employment-related counsel to clients, either in house or at a law firm (7+ years).Experience conducting employment-related investigations.Excellent judgment and the ability to balance legal risks with business strategy, including scaling quickly in a fast-paced environment.Ability to flexibly prioritize and handle ambiguity.Attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.Enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.Ability to participate in some travel as needed.
